The CURIOS-Media project is about how to provide tool support for social scientists to collect and understand social media data. One key question is whether social scientist find existing data mining and NLP tools helpful for their reserach. Our initial findings suggest the answer tend to be negative. The second question is how we could bridge the gap between social scientists and software tools for understanding social media data. One solution is to use Knowledge Graph as a common ground.

The CURIOS-Media project is not part of dot.rural; however, many CURIOS team members worked in the CURIOS-Media project, after CURIOS.
