The Music Department offers an MMus in Music in which students specialise in the central project rather than taking other taught options. The project is entirely flexible, and the outcomes may involve a combination of various elements such as a dissertation or commentary, a portfolio of compositions, a live or recorded performance, a lecture recital or a scholarly edition.
General information about admissions requirements for our MMus in Music may be found in the Online Prospectus, from where it is also possible to make an application.
Normally there is no audition or interview process. However, candidates should submit samples of recent work appropriate to the sort of project they would like to pursue (e.g. written work, and/or compositions, and/or a recording of a performance). Initial enquiries may be made by contacting the Music Office (firstname.lastname@example.org).
