Students commencing a BMus, BMus (Education) or BMus (Music & Communities) full-time degree at the University of Aberdeen in September 2017 are eligible to apply for the Derek Ogston Music Scholarship and the Margaret Carlaw Music Scholarship.
Two scholarships will be awarded to students with musical talent (voice or instrumental) entering the University for full-time undergraduate studies. The Carlaw scholarship valued at £1,500 and the Ogston scholarship valued at £1,500, will be awarded for three years in the first instance, but may be renewed for a further year.
To be considered for the scholarships you will need to have applied to the University of Aberdeen for a BMus place starting in September 2017; to be awarded the scholarship you must receive and then firmly accept a BMus offer, either conditional or unconditional, of a place at the University. The scholarship can only be held by students of the University – it cannot be transferred to other institutions.
