Prof Moramarco is Director of the Institute of Policy and Economics and full Professor of Policy and Economics at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. His research interest focuses on human resources optimization and labour economics as well as policy and equity considerations in the evaluation of the welfare states. He will lead the team and coordinate the WP

Claudio Lucifora is Professor of Economics at the Università Cattolica in Milan. In 1995 he was awarded the Tarantelli prize for labour economics. He has been elected member of the executive committee and Treasurer of EALE (European Association of Labour Economists), member of the executive committee of AISRI (Associazione Italiana Relazioni Industriali) and past member of the executive committee of AIEL (Associazione Italiana degli Economisti del Lavoro). His contribution to the project will mainly focus on investigating the relationship between the optimal workforce planning and the competencies of the health professionals.

Americo Cicchettiis Professor of Business Organization at the Faculty of Economics, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. He is Scientific Coordinator of the Technology Assessment Unit of the University Hospital "A. Gemelli". He is a member (appointed by the Minister of Health) of the Pricing and Reimbursement Committee of the AIFA (Italian Medicines Agency). His main research activities focus on health technology assessment and human resources management. His contribution to the project will mainly focus on mapping health professional competencies and training.
Prof Giuseppe Arbia, Faculty of Economics, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore
Giuseppe Arbia is Full Professor of Statistics at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. He gained his PhD at the University of Cambridge (UK), and his BA in Statistics at the University “La Sapienza”, Rome (Italy). His main research interests focus on spatial econometrics. His contribution to the project will focus on the statistical modeling associated with establishing the relation between health workforce planning and competencies, age, gender and training proxies, with particular focus on spatial /territorial variables.

Matteo Ruggeri is lecturer in Health Economics at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. He gained a PhD in Health Economics and Management at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and a MSc in Economics, a MA in Business Engineering and a Laurea (BA) in Economics at the Università di Roma “Tor Vergata”. His main research interest focuses on economic evaluation and experimental economics and his contribution to the project will mainly consist on the linkage between the different parts of the WP and between the WP 8 and the other WPs. He will design, write and edit the deliverables and provide support to the coordinator on administrative issues.

Members of the Italy Expert Advisory Group consist of the following:
Prof Gianfranco Damiani (MD, public health department UCSC and AGENAS - Health Ministry)
Gianfranco Damiani is Tenured Associate Professor of Public Health on the Faculty of Medicine at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC), Rome (Italy), and Assistant Medical Director of Hospital Hygiene Unit at Agostino Gemelli Teaching Hospital in Rome.
He has carried out research (over 300 publications) on several topics of Public Health, particularly on Health Services Research. The Impact Factor for the evaluation of his scientific production is 42,359 and the H-index is 7.
He teaches several topics of Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine both at the under-graduate and post-graduate level and Medicine for Managers at the Faculty of Economics; he also serves as lecturer at Medical Specialization Courses delivering lectures on several topics of Public Health. He has been involved since 1995, both as a supervisor and as a teacher, in the managerial education of health care professionals.
He has been working as scientific advisor of the health care management staff of several Hospital Trusts and Local Health Authorities.
dott. Marco Marchetti (MD, HTA Unit - Policlinico Universitario A Gemelli)
Marco Marchetti, MD is director of the HTA unit of the Policlinico Universitario “A.Gemelli”, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and director of the Ethical committee of the same institution. His main research interest focus on HTA and generalisability of evidence based medicine as well as organizational topics in HTA. He teaches Evaluation of Healthcare, Innovation Management and healthcare planning in several graduate and postgraduate courses. He is one of the co – founders of the Italian Society of HTA (SIHTA) and member of INAHTA (Italian Network for HTA). He is director of the European Master program in HTA (Ulysses). He has published extensively in HTA peer reviewed journals and participated in several national and international conference in the field of HTA and healthcare management and health services research.
