A Dorset artist, Peter Thwaites produces three paintings of microfungi from microscopic images.
Professor Neil Gow, who commissioned the work, adds: "These pictures were donated to be used to further the work being carried out by the Wellcome Trust Strategic Award in Medical Mycology and Fungal Immunology."
The paintings of Aspergillus fumigatus, Candida albicans and Cryptococcus neoformans now hang in the Institute of Medicla Sciences at the University of Aberdeen.
