This year the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) are focusing conversations on the past, present and future of the enlightenment.

RSA Fellowship Councilor Neil McLennan will give an overview of RSA work. Following this Professor Murray Pittock FRSE (Pro-Vice Principal, University of Glasgow) will discuss ‘Enlightened Cities’. His new book uses data and models provided by urban innovation and Smart City theory to pinpoint distinctive features that made Enlightenment in the Scottish capital possible.
