Acts of the Scottish Parliament
This site contains the full text of all Acts of the Scottish Parliament, the Explanatory Notes to the Acts of the Scottish Parliament and Scottish Statutory Instruments. HMSO aims to publish them on the Internet within 24 hours of publication in print format. Links are provided to the Scotland Act 1998 and associated delegated legislation and to Acts of the UK Parliament and UK Statutory Instruments which apply to Scotland.

Scottish Statutory Instruments
All Scottish Statutory Instruments made by Scottish Parliament since its establishment in 1998 are available in full text, and the aim is to publish them simultaneously or at least within 24 hours of their publication in print format. Local SSI's are not published on the Internet.
The Scottish Courts Website
Judgements delivered in the Court of Session, High Court of the Justiciary and Sheriff Courts are available in full-text on this site. Also included is advice for unrepresented accused conducting their own trial.
Scottish Government (formally Scottish Executive)
Scottish Government departments are responsible for over a thousand publications each year. Each department is responsible for deciding what is published but current corporate policy requires all publications to be made available on the Scottish Executive website.
All Scottish Government publications are subject to Crown Copyright which means that (generally) material may be reproduced without formal permission or charge for personal or in-house use. In case of doubt further information on Crown Copyright can be obtained from the National Archives.
The Scottish Government website provides access to full-text publications from 1997 onwards. Publications may be found under category or listed alphabetically in the Publications Archive. New publications are listed separately.
Scottish Law Commission
A body which undertakes to review the law and legal system in Scotland established by the Law Commissions Act 1965. Links to SLC's publications, news releases, general information etc.

A web portal for Scots law. It includes both academic and professional links.
Scottish Legal Aid Board
The site provides information for the public and legal profession about legal aid and the Scottish Legal Aid Board.
