European Documentation Centre

The European Documentation Centre (EDC) is part of the Europe Direct Information Network established by the European Commission to ensure that information about the work and policies of the European Union is available to all its citizens.

EDCs are collections of material published and deposited by the European Union in academic institutions throughout the Member States. There are around 30 centres based in UK University Libraries.

Please do listen to our Introduction to the EDC Podcast, or read our EDC Library Guide for more information. We also have a blog - EDC Information Update - where we post regularly on EU activity, publications of interest, EU related events, and general library notifications. You can browse the other Library Podcasts here, and Library Guides here.

The EDC at the University of Aberdeen is located on King's Campus in the Taylor Library, Taylor Building Block C (building number 20 on the campus map) and is open to the general public.
