Exclusively created for senior industry executives, government NGO and agency leaders; this dynamic two week Continuing Professional Development Masterclass builds on two established post- graduate courses taught by the University of Aberdeen, here in the Energy Capital of Europe.

This intensive two- week course is designed to provide a comprehensive perspective on the "resource curse phenomenon". You will gain a broad global perspective on this key issue by exploring the relationships between the many factors and stakeholders involved in the governance and development of natural mineral resources, both nationally and internationally. The course considers new and emerging trends, together with multi-disciplinary best practice. It aims to identify how best practice and new learning can be amalgamated to help formulate overarching legal frameworks that can support mutually beneficial outcomes for all stakeholders. Providing a relevant, real world view; the course explores the best development pathways for both resource poor and resource rich nations.

Taught by industry experts with a breadth and depth of academic knowledge and real-world expertise this is a unique learning experience. This course will help you gain a wider view on a fundamental aspect of energy development and management that will stay with you throughout your career.

The course will take place 3rd to 14th September 2018 and will be taught on the historic Kings College Campus in Old Aberdeen, close to the heart of the Energy Capital of Europe.
