Funding for new treatments for Alzheimer's disease

The Universities of Aberdeen and Durham have received a BBSRC follow-on fund award to develop new drugs for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.

Congratulations to Professor Peter McCaffery, Dr Iain Greig and Professor Bettina Platt, along with Professor Andy Whiting at Durham University, who have received an award totalling over £250k for the development of novel retinoids for the treatment of a range of neurodegenerative disorders. The project is partnered with High Force Research Ltd.
