What is happening?
On Friday 25 September 2009, the power to the St Mary's building will be partially disconnected between 07:30 until 09:00, to allow the connection of a new fuse board for the refurbished entrance area. Unfortunately, this will mean that ALL power sockets in the "old" side of St Mary's will be disconnected, thus affecting network services supporting access to file shares, e-mail, internet access, printing and copying. Lighting throughout the building will NOT be affected.
What should you do?
If you are able to use any computing equipment, you should be aware that DIT services such as e-mail, printing, internet access and most corporate applications may not be available from 07:30 until 09:00 and you should save any work regularly to minimise any work loss, in case power is disconnected during this period.
