File server issues at Foresterhill affecting R, S, T, and some home drives
What is happening?
Earlier today we informed you that we were experiencing file server issues at Foresterhill, that was and continues to affect the R:, S:, T: and some home drives. DIT are currently still attempting to ascertain the root cause of the problem. A Priority 1 call has been raised with our vendor (IBM) to assist us in bringing this problem to a resolution. At this time we do not have an ETA as to when this problem will be resolved, however we are working to restore the service as soon as is practicably possible.
What should you do?
You should continue to save any work on your local disk drive and when normal service is resumed we will advise you to then copy this back to the networked drives.
