Changes to NHS Telephony

Changes to NHS extensions

What is happening?

We are making changes to the way telephone calls are routed to and from the NHS Grampian telephone system.

You will still be able to call five digit NHS telephone extensions using the "76" prefix from your University telephone.

However, when someone calls you from an NHS telephone, you will no longer see their individual extension.

You will instead see 01224 69 (followed by one of 3119, 8540, 6662 or 5980). Please note that you cannot dial those numbers back; they are system numbers used to route outgoing calls without revealing the caller’s actual extension.
