Step back in time for a visit to the convict prison which only closed in 2013!
Aberdeen is in a great location to explore the Northeast of Scotland, and beyond into the Highlands. That’s why the International Centre has developed the Northeast Explorer series where we will take students around to iconic locations.
On this trip we will be visiting the Peterhead Prison Museum where you will have the chance to step back in time to hear about experiences at this location which was a working prison from August 1888 to December 2013. An experience to rival Alcatraz, you will have the opportunity to visit and interact with guides and to see the cells and other key components of this prison.
