SUMMARY:Research Integrity Symposium
DESCRIPTION:Research Integrity is central to the enterprise of science - researchers, policy makers and the wider population must have confidence in the methodology and outputs of research. The integrity of research programmes, institutions, and the global scientific community is critical for the continued robustness of scientific, medical, and industrial progress. Integrity must apply to the whole cycle of research, from initial research funding proposals, data gathering and curation, through to publication and dissemination of research outputs. 

 

As part of an effort to improve the research culture of the School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition, we are holding the first annual symposium dedicated to promoting research integrity. The event will be held from 9 am to 12:15 pm on 22nd April 2026, in the Suttie Centre Lecture Theatre.

 

We are fortunate to have three exceptional investigators and promoters of research integrity, Dorothy Bishop (University of Oxford), Jenny Bryne (University of Sydney), and Alison Avenell (University of Aberdeen).
