One of the pillars of our Aberdeen 2040 strategy is sustainability. We recognise that labs generate large volumes of plastic waste and are actively addressing this in the Institute of Medical Sciences. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint through reducing waste and improving recycling and our technical team has implemented mechanisms for this in our labs.
