As Unit Administrator, Katherine supports the team's research, training and consultancy activities, business processes and projects. Katherine has also extended her experience in direct intervention projects, alongside research activities in the field of international development.
She trained originally in environmental science, and worked as a researcher in soil biochemistry at the University of Aberdeen and Macaulay Institute until a career change 4 years ago. After leaving the lab, Katherine joined the Immpact team, dusting off her administrative skills from a period at the Crown Prosecution Service, alongside her more recent project planning and research capabilities.
Whilst Katherine's academic training was focussed on environmental issues, the themes of sustainability and public health which have always been topics of interest to her, and synthesise well with the international development work undertaken at Immpact.
