Aberdeen is at the hub of an extensive communications network, making it directly accessible by air from major cities around Europe and the UK, while express rail services and trunk roads provide excellent transport links to all corners of Britain.

Transport Links

Rail services connect Aberdeen to both the north and the south. There are regular direct trains to London and services from Edinburgh and Glasgow link with other mainline routes. Inverness, the scenic West Coast and the Highlands are reached northwards. Hourly services are run from Glasgow and Edinburgh, and from London Euston there is a sleeper service (in both directions) every night except Saturday. Visit National Rail for timetables, pricing and more information.

Visas

Participants who require a visa to travel to the United Kingdom are strongly advised to register on the course and apply for a visa at the earliest opportunity. Specifically, you are encouraged to start the process sufficiently early so that you know whether your visa application has been successful prior to the “early bird” deadline, since later cancellations are non-refundable. If required we are able to provide a letter to accompany your application,  confirming your registration on the course. We are, however, not able to provide information on the necessity for visas, or type of visas required, since these will vary with individual circumstances.
