Registry studies

Our academic and support staff have over 12 years’ experience in setting up, obtaining regulatory approvals and managing the day-to-day coordination of large-scale disease registry studies. Beginning in 2010 with the Scotland Registry for Ankylosing Spondylitis (SIRAS) study, we have also delivered two large registries in conjunction with the British Society for Rheumatology with the British Society for Rheumatology Biologics Register in Ankylosing Spondylitis (BSRBR-AS) running from 2012-2020 (with data analysis still ongoing), and the British Society for Rheumatology Register in Psoriatic Arthritis (BSR-PsA) beginning in 2017 and currently due to run until 2026. We have also built on the above expertise in coordinating registry studies in the field of inflammatory rheumatological conditions and are now branching out into the field of antimicrobial therapies, with the recent announcement of the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy-funded UK Antimicrobial Registry.
