Feasibility study for a weight loss intervention for women treated for breast cancer

This project is funded jointly by a breast cancer charity (CRANES) and the University of Aberdeen Development Trust. Evidence suggests that weight loss can improve breast cancer outcomes. A mixed method approach will inform the design of an acceptable and feasible weight loss intervention. This will include focus groups, semi-structured interviews and a survey of breast cancer patients attending local charity support groups and a hospital clinic. The weight loss intervention will be piloted prior to applying for funding for a full scale trial.
