The ELICIT study is part of a larger project looking at evidence-informed decision aids for clinical trial participation, led by Dr Katie Gillies.
ELICIT’s aim is to find out about the impact of interventions to improve decisions about trial participation. The project is currently in progress, with the first stage of a DELPHI survey due to be launched in January 2019.
The DELPHI survey includes 3 rounds of questionnaires and then a final face to face consensus meeting with relevant stakeholders (potential participants, clinicians, research nurses, trial methodologists and members of ethics committees) to produce a core outcome set for the evaluation of informed consent in trials.
