Summary

This study analysed a sample of 21 pharmacy contractors, using invoice and reimbursement prices for 100 generic and 100 proprietary drugs, respectively for the month of January 2007. Using the standard markup method to calculate the level of discounts separately for both drug types as well as for volume-locality stratification of pharmacies. The calculated discount levels were then extrapolated to selected months two before this survey (April 06 and October 06) and two months selected after wards (April 07 and July 07).
