Stated Preference methods are applied in each of the HERU research themes. Details are given below of projects from the themes which apply stated preference methods.
Assessment of Technologies
Research within the Assessment of Technologies theme applies stated preference methods to value outcomes and to incorporate these values into a cost-benefit analysis. Current and recent studies include:
- Adjustable anchored single-incision mini-slings versus standard tension-free mid-urethral slings in the surgical management Of female stress urinary incontinence: a pragmatic multi-centre non-inferiority randomised controlled trial (the SIMS Trial)

Health Behaviour
Research within the Health Behaviour theme applies stated preference methods to elicit people people’s preferences related to healthy behaviour or healthy lifestyle choices. Current and recent studies include:

Workforce and Organisation of Care
Research within the Workforce and Organisation of Care theme applied stated preference methods to elicit the preferences of the medical workforce for workplace characteristics, and to elicit the preferences of patients for service configurations. Current and recent studies include:
