Summary
Air quality in bars was measured before and after the introduction of the legislation and bar workers were surveyed about their health. Time off work and use of health services were included in the survey and the economic component of the study focused on changes in costs related to any improvements in health. Evaluating the impact of policy implementation made an important contribution to developing the evidence base.
