We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow in Health Economics for a period of 19 months. The successful applicant will contribute to an exciting research project, funded by Pharmacy Research UK (PRUK), applying the Choice Experiment (CE) methodology to develop a Decision Aid Tool (DAT) for use in a community pharmacy setting. They will also contribute to our research using eye-tracking to provide information on how respondents complete CEs, and to the development of our annual CE workshop.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team that includes internationally recognised researchers from HERU and Academic Primary Care at the University of Aberdeen. Key activities include: day-to-day project management of the PRUK project; conducting/analysing qualitative interviews; designing a CE; working alongside programmers to develop the decision aid tool; preparing protocols for ethical approval; setting up a feasibility study for the DAT; development of eye-tracking experiments and analysis of eye-tracking data; and updating our CE workshop material.
Appointees at Research Fellow level will be expected to have a PhD in health economics/ statistics/ operations research or a related discipline, or an MSc plus several years of relevant research experience. The MSc would ideally be in health economics, statistics, operations research, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
