The Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education has been awarded to the University of Aberdeen. The award is in recognition of world-leading research into health economics and health services undertaken at the Health Economics Research Unit and the Health Services Research Unit over the last 40 years.
The Queen’s Anniversary Prize is awarded once every two years to recognise world-class excellence and achievement. It is the most prestigious form of national recognition open to a UK academic institution. The prize was presented to a delegation from the university at Buckingham Palace on 22nd February 2018.
