A warm welcome to HERU to Dr Blanca Moran and Divya Mohan.
Blanca Moran and Divya Mohan started in HERU in January 2018. Blanca has a PhD in Economics from the University of York and is working as a Research Fellow in HERU on our Scottish Genomics Partnership project, evaluating the efficiency of whole genome sequencing (WGS) as an intervention within NHS Scotland. Blanca will also work on our exciting eye-tracker research, exploring how individuals process risk information within the context of WGS.
Divya was awarded a Roy Weir PhD Studentship and began her PhD in HERU in January 2018. Her project is on 'Informing ‘realistic medicine’: can economic evaluations account for heterogeneity in care preferences?' and aims to explore if preference heterogeneity can be incorporated into the economic evaluation of health care interventions, and how resulting policy recommendations may differ from those based on traditional evaluation methods.
