My research interest is on hydrological interactions taking place within the critical zone, to better understand what happens with the water in the soil. To track the fate of the water I use water stable isotopes and hydrometric data. The current focus is on:
- How variable is the pore water stable isotopic composition in the top soil?
- Which roles does the vegetation play for the variability of the soil water isotopic signal over space and time?
- How do these processes differ among northern environments?
