Research

Research Interests

My research interest is on hydrological interactions taking place within the critical zone, to better understand what happens with the water in the soil. To track the fate of the water I use water stable isotopes and hydrometric data. The current focus is on:

  • How variable is the pore water stable isotopic composition in the top soil?
  • Which roles does the vegetation play for the variability of the soil water isotopic signal over space and time?
  • How do these processes differ among northern environments?

See the VeWa homepage for more information on the project.
