Crathes Castle

Explore the castle's 16th century tower with its turrents, spiral staircases and painted ceilings. Then wander through the walled garden with its display of flowers and the sculpted yew trees.

Drum Castle

Drum Castle started life as the imposing square tower in the late 1200s. This was the family home of the Irvines for centuries till the mid 1970s and is approached through a sheltered courtyrard entrance. It has a grand staircase but also dizzying spiral steps. Outside there the a beautiful walled garden and it has it's own small chapel.

Castle Fraser

An imposing castle, one of the largest tower houses in Scotland, filled with hidden trapdoors, secret staircases and a spy hole! Explore the family treasures and portraits before venturing up to the top of the round tower for incredible views.

Pitmedden Gardens

Meticulously manicured lawns, perfectly clipped box hedging and trimmed topiary trees and then, at the heart of the walled garden, the parterres with their intricate patterns and riot of colour.

There is also a Museum of Farming Life, which brings the agricultural past to life.
