Dynamics Day Europe, Aberdeen (Scotland)

23 - 27 August 2021

Dynamics Days Europe is a series of annual international conferences founded in the 1980s that provides a European forum for developments in the theory and applications of nonlinear dynamics. For over thirty years it has been bringing together researchers from a wide range of mathematical backgrounds for interdisciplinary research in nonlinear science.

We are very enthusiastic about organising Dynamics Days in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 2021. Our institute is one of the largest research hubs on Dynamics in both UK and Europe, with a special focus on interdisciplinary applications.

The University of Aberdeen is located in the picturesque and historic Old Aberdeen. Recent multi-million pound investment has provided the university with some of the best facilities in the UK.  Aberdeenshire stretches from one of the greatest places on earth (the Cairngorms) to one of the world’s top-rated coastlines, according to National Geographic Magazine. There are a staggering 300 castles in the area, more per acre than anywhere in the British Isles, and we enjoy some of the best golf courses on the planet.

Aberdeen airport is well connected with the major European hubs and there are direct flights to 20 domestic destinations, more than from any other UK airport.  Therefore, we are looking forward to providing a European forum for developments in the application and theory for dynamics, and bringing together researchers from a wide range of backgrounds, including physics, biology, engineering and mathematics for interdisciplinary research in nonlinear science.
