The University of Aberdeen hosted a one day event on Powering Offshore Oil and Gas with Marine Renewables on 18 September 2019. The conference aimed to bridge the gap between renewable energy and the oil and gas industry.
Speakers from both industries explored how marine renewable energy sources such as wave power and floating wind turbines can power oil and gas activities including decommissioning and other offshore business. Speakers included representatives of companies involved in wave power, floating offshore in turbines, and oil and gas companies interested in renewable energy.
