Biography

Dr. Mohsin Ali Raza serves as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Aberdeen, holding a BSc in Engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology Lahore, a Master’s in Advanced Process Engineering with a focus on renewable energy production from the University of Punjab Lahore, and a Ph.D. in Engineering specializing in renewables for application in energy and the environment. Additionally, he is a member of the Center for Energy Transition, contributing to a Scottish research partnership in engineering.

Previously, Dr. Raza gained experience as a Post-Doc research scientist at Rothamsted Research, Harpenden, spent time as a visiting researcher at MINES ParisTech, France, and worked as a research associate at the University of Punjab.

During his tenure at the University of Aberdeen, Dr. Raza collaborated on a 2-year project with Mr. Adam Smith (Business School) and Dr. Waheed Afzal (School of Engineering). In this role, he spearheaded the research, design, creation, and launch of a novel renewable energy consulting division. This endeavor involved the application of energy engineering, data science, and management systems to enhance the productivity and efficiency of microgeneration renewable energy assets. Dr. Raza also took on teaching responsibilities at the Business School, leading to his current position as a Teaching Fellow.
