Priadi said “I am from Indonesia. My academic background is in educational administration, which concerns leadership and management in educational sectors. I have both Bachelor Degree and Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Universitas Pendidikan, Indonesia. In addition, I have licenses to teach in both school and higher education. I started my career as a Citizenship teacher and was also a deputy of head teacher in an Indonesian international secondary school in Jakarta for two years. Currently, I am a lecturer at the Department of Educational Administration, Faculty of Educational Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, in the special region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
“I hope to develop my professionalism and qualification as a lecturer of a teacher education institution in Indonesia by completing my PhD. I have a dream to develop teacher education programmes in Indonesia so that we can enhance teacher professionalism and education in Indonesia.
I am grateful that the Indonesian Government through the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education provided a full scholarship for me to pursue my PhD overseas. I think we can learn from the well-known Scottish system for initial teacher education, and I found that the PhD programme in the School of Education, University of Aberdeen deserves its reputation for their research in professional learning and teacher education.”
