The Certificate in Adult and Community Learning (CACL) offers a flexible continuing professional development opportunity for those working with individuals, families and groups in community contexts.
The programme consists of a menu of courses pertinent to practice in a diverse range of professional settings. Participants learn to integrate theory and practice with group diversity and multidisciplinary perspectives contributing positively to the quality of the learning experience.
To complete the certificate, participants may choose four courses from a suite of nine. Developing professionals may use the courses to work towards entry to formal professional training.
For qualified professionals, courses will update skills and/or provide support to tackle new specialisms. There is also the opportunity to further develop professionalism by progressing to the BA in Professional Development (BAPD), subject to the appropriate entrance qualifications.
