Biography: Son of James Connochie; born Selkirk, 23 March 1899. Medicine, 1916-17. A.U.O.T.C. Cadet, Royal Flying Corps, March 1917. Served-Home, 1917-18; France, Germany, September 1918-September 1919. Final rank, Lieutenant, R.A.F.
