Biography: Son of David Coghill; born Thurso, 3 August 1898. Medicine, 1915-17, 1919- . A.U.O.T.C. Private, 3rd Gordon Highlanders, March 1917; 2nd Lieutenant, 3rd Lancashire Fusiliers, 1 August 1917; attached to 15th Lancashire Fusiliers. Served - Home, 16 months; Belgium, France, 8 months. Final rank, Lieutenant.
