Biography: Son of Alexander B. Clyne; born Wick, 17 August 1893. M.A., 1920. Enlisted, 1st H.F.A, (T.F), 3 February 1913. Mobilized, 4 August 1914. Attached 86th (Fusilier) Brigade; commissioned, 1 August 1917. Served with 6th (Reserve), and 2/5th Lancashire Fusiliers. Home, 1914-15, 1917 ; Egypt, Gallipoli, France, March 1915-February 1917, October 1917-February 1919. Final rank, Lieutenant.
