Biography: Son of William Clyne; born Aberdeen, 10 April 1886. M.B., 1910. Trooper, Indian Defence Force, 6th Assam Valley Light Horse, 1914-17. Commissioned, R.A.M.C., November 1917. Served-France, 1917-July 1918. Wounded. Final rank, Acting Major. Military Cross, 1918.
