Biography: Son of William Catto; born Aberdeen, 18 April 1885. B.Sc., 1906. Home service, 2nd Lieutenant, George Watson's College O.T.C., 1913; Captain, 1915; Lieutenant, 4th Reserve Black Watch, October-December 1918. Final rank, Lieutenant.
