Biography: Son of William Campbell; born Newhills, Aberdeen, 15 December 1882. M.B., 1905. Lieutenant, R.A.M.C., 1915. Served - Home, 1915-16; India, Mesopotamia, 1916-19. Final rank, Captain. Mentioned in despatches, August 1918.
