Biography: Son of William Campbell; born Newhills, Aberdeen, 21 June 1879. M.A., 1902; B.L., 1905. Commissioned, 49th Battalion Canadian Infantry, 1915; formerly Lieutenant, 4th Gordon Highlanders. Served-England, 1916-17; France, 1917-18. Final rank, Lieutenant.
