Biography: Son of James Campbell; born Lossiemouth, 10 December 1887. M.A., 1910. Private, 4th Gordon Highlanders, December 1915; commissioned, 25 January 1917; attached to 5th Gordon Highlanders. Served-Home, 1915-17; France, June 1917-December 1918. Prisoner of War, 21 March 1918. Final rank, Lieutenant.
