Biography: Son of Frederick G. Bowie; born New Hebrides, 28 April 1897. Medicine, 1919- . Private, 2/4th Gordon Highlanders, January 1915; served with 2/5th, 1st, 8/10th, 1/5th, Gordon Highlanders; commissioned, January 1918. Served - Home, 1½ years; France, 2½ years. Final rank, 2nd Lieutenant.
