Biography: Son of Andrew W. Berry; born Guildford, 4 September 1887. M.B., 1915; D.P.H., 1921. Private, R.A.M.C. (T.), 1910, attached to 1/1st Highland Field Ambulance. Dresser, 1st Scottish General Hospital, 1914-15; commissioned, R.A.M.C. (T.), 31 March 1915; attached to 1st Scottish General Hospital, 1/3rd Lowland Field Ambulance. Served—Home, 1915-16; Egypt, Palestine, Syria, April 1916-March 1920. Final rank, Major. Military Cross, "Gazette" June 1918. Mentioned in despatches, January 1918.
