King, Herbert

Biography: Son of William and Margaret Ann King, Church Street, Fordyce ; born Fordyce, 1923 ; educated at Aberlour. He was in his second year as an Arts student when he joined the Royal Air Force in 1941. After gaining his Wings in America, he acted as an Officer Instructor there for two years. Returning to this country, he volunteered for service abroad and was killed during air operations in Italy in April 1945.
