Biography: Son of James and Carolina Anne Hunter, Pitstruan Place, Aberdeen; born Aberdeen, 1904; educated at Robert Gordon's College. In 1926 he graduated M.B, Ch.B., and three years later took up practice at Turriff. In 1934 he gained the M.D. degree and then went to the south of England to continue in practice. In 1942 he went abroad with a commission in the Indian Medical Service. In January 1943 he died in India of an illness contracted in the course of his duties.
