Biography: Son of the late Lewis Grant and Margaret Grant, Old Aberdeen ; born Aberdeen, 1913 ; educated at Aberdeen Grammar School. In 1934 he graduated B.Sc. (Agr), and after two years at the Rowett Institute joined the staff of the British Oil & Cake Mills, Ltd., Leith. On the outbreak of war he volunteered for service and was commissioned in the Royal Artillery. In 1942 he was sent to the Middle East and took part in operations in Egypt, being wounded at Tripoli. Later on he was in the Italian campaign and was killed in action in November 1944.

Burial Details: Buried at Faenza War Cemetery, III. D. 11
