Gilchrist, Harry Bethune

Biography: Son of W. J. Gilchrist, solicitor, Aberdeen ; born Aberdeen, 1917 ; educated at Aberdeen Grammar School. He became a Law Apprentice in the office of J. M. Clapperton, advocate, Aberdeen, and was studying Law at the University when the war broke out. An original member of No 612 Squadron, Auxiliary Air Force, he joined the Royal Air Force and saw much service in France before his death in this country in September 1941.
