Davidson, James Mearns

Biography: Son of James Davidson and Annie Davidson, 6 Westfield Terrace, Aberdeen; born Aberdeen in 1919; educated at Aberdeen Grammar School. In 1940 he graduated B.Sc. (Eng.) and in the following year was awarded First Class Honours. He entered the Royal Air Force in 1941 and was sent to the Middle East to be later posted to Kenya. From there he was transferred to the Air Ministry Works Directorate at Dar-es-Salaam. After Alamein he was recalled to the Middle East where he died in June 1943 from injuries received while serving with a Maintenance Unit.
