Crawford, Albert Victor

Biography: Son of A.W. Crawford, Castle Bytham, Grantham ; born Andover, Hampshire, May 1922 ; educated at Stamford School. He joined the Royal Air Force in 1941 and in the same year attended a Cadets' course at the University. After training he was posted to Coastal Command and later to Bomber Command. He took part in the raids on the Ruhr and was killed when his plane was destroyed by enemy action on 15 June 1943. He is buried in the British Cemetery, Schonselof, Antwerp.
